COMMUNITY DOCUMENTARY
Thank you for taking the time to visit the community input page for our upcoming documentary about the local community!
Focusing on the past, present, and looking to the future, we want to shine a spotlight on Cumbernauld, focusing on the good (such as the wonderful green spaces and fantastic community groups), and drawing wider attention to the things the community feel could, or indeed should, be improved.
We want to highlight the best of Cumbernauld, so if you’re a community group, or local business in Cumbernauld, we would love to hear from you! From charity initiatives, to community arts groups and sports, we’d like to really highlight the community spirit of the local area.
That said, we don’t just want to create a fluff piece but rather something that can help support the local community in drawing attention to issues and help to enable real change. Whether that be issues such as the proposed reduction in cover at Cumbernauld Fire Station (petition here), the cutting of funding to Cumbernauld Theatre (support them by donating here), or the recent fires at the old Cumbernauld Cottage Theatre and St Mungo’s Church. We want to tackle and get perspective on the issues that matter most to fellow residents in Cumbernauld.
